This is our Bechstein Model K Baby Grand Piano, manufactured in Berlin circa 1930 and presented in a traditional mahogany case with 88 keys and 2 pedals. The Model K is a compact Bechstein grand, designed to bring the musical qualities of the larger Bechstein instruments into a size particularly well suited to the home. This example has plenty of genuine period character, with an elegant mahogany cabinet, tapered legs and the understated styling typical of Bechstein grands from this era. The piano has clearly been well maintained internally during its life and remains a very enjoyable instrument to play. It has a responsive action and a warm, mellow and characterful tone, with the expressive quality for which older Bechstein pianos are so well regarded. The case does show some cosmetic signs of its age and previous use, but these form part of the character of this nearly century-old instrument. A lovely choice for someone looking for an authentic Bechstein baby grand with plenty of personality and musical charm. It has been checked, tuned and prepared by our workshop team and is ready for its new home.
